📜 Item Description
Rare Signed WWII Luftwaffe Photo – Staffelkapitän Hans \"Hadi\" Weihs, Uffz. Effelsberger & Fw 190 – JG 105 Zeltweg 1944
Offered is an exceptionally rare original WWII-era photograph featuring Staffelkapitän Leutnant Hans \"Hadi\" Weihs together with Unteroffizier Effelsberger standing in front of a Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter aircraft. The reverse carries a period identification label reading:
\"Zeltweg 1944 – 3./JG. 105 – Staffelkapitän Lt. Hadi Weihs mit Uffz. Effelsberger vor der Fw 190.\"
Translated:
\"Zeltweg 1944 – 3rd Staffel, Jagdgeschwader 105 – Squadron Commander Lt. Hadi Weihs with NCO Effelsberger in front of the Fw 190.\"
Most importantly, the photograph bears an authentic ink signature of Hans \"Hadi\" Weihs, making this an outstanding piece of Luftwaffe history. Signed photographs of fighter pilots and squadron commanders are seldom encountered, particularly when accompanied by detailed period identification.
Thisphotograph is particularly desirable because it shows Leutnant Hans-Dieter \"Hadi\" Weihs, later one of the Luftwaffe\'s Me 262 jet aces, during his service with 3./JG 105 at Zeltweg in 1944. The reverse label identifies him while he was Staffelkapitän and standing with Unteroffizier Effelsberger in front of an Fw 190 fighter.
