The exterior shows rubbing and scattered scratches to the leather, particularly along the spine and joints, with wear to the corners and extremities. The gilt spine decoration remains attractive. The top edge gilt shows rubbing and surface marks, while the remaining page edges are lightly toned. The marbled endpapers are clean and well preserved.
