Vintage Robyn T-240D \"The Executive,\" nicknamed the \"Yellow Bird\" for its distinctive yellow and cream cabinet, made in Japan for Robyn International Inc. of Rockford, Michigan. A standout in CB collecting circles: it\'s a tube hybrid design with a 6BQ5 (EL84) final tube, one of the only full 40-channel CB base stations built around a tube rather than going fully solid-state. FCC data plate reads 12R24R76, consistent with manufacture in late 1976.
Specs: 40-channel AM, PLL synthesized (26.965-27.405 MHz), double-conversion superheterodyne receiver, 4W RF output, built-in PA function, delta tune/clarifier, tone control, runs on 105-120VAC or 12-14VDC (base/mobile capable). S-RF meter, channel selector, volume/squelch/delta tune/RF gain controls, front-mounted speaker.
Included: the radio itself, the original Robyn microphone (4-pin locking connector, coiled cord), and the AC power cord. Rear panel shows the FCC/model nameplate, \"COMPUTER NUMBER: 02-52-7,\" serial 25040850, plus POWER, ANTENNA (SO-239), METER ADJ, and EXT.CB/PA connections. Cabinet shows some expected cosmetic wear and paint loss along the edges/corners consistent with age; front panel graphics and knobs are all present and legible.
