Sound Explosion is one of those 1976 TV compilations, and it works today as a snapshot of exactly what American radio sounded like that year, chosen by people whose only interest was what was selling right now. Ronco titles were bought in enormous numbers, played to death and thrown away, so they are surprisingly hard to find clean. They are collected for the sleeve art, the period song selection, and pure 1970s TV nostalgia.
