“The Oklahoma Girl Scout murders took place on the morning of June 13, 1977, at Camp Scott in Mayes County, Oklahoma, United States. The victims were three Girl Scouts, between the ages of 8 and 10, who were raped and murdered. Their bodies were then left on a trail leading to the campsite's showers, about 150 yards (140 meters) from their tent. The case was classified as solved when Gene Leroy Hart, a local jail escapee with a history of violence and rape, was arrested. However, Hart was acquitted in March 1979 after a jury unanimously returned a verdict of not guilty….”.

This HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER, HARDBACK VERSION OF THIS BOOK, is an Authentic, Original FIRST PRINTING of one of the most important, and interesting, books ever written about this EXTREMELY SAD, UNIQUE, TRUE & HISTORIC incident.

In my opinion, this historic book is in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION, with no significant flaws and/or defects, that I have observed and/or am aware of.

HOWEVER, PLEASE NOTE:

There are two separate areas in this book that had some pencil marks that, have been almost completely erased.

However, please note, that there are still some fairly faint marks left on those areas that did not completely erase or come off the page.

In my opinion, these marks are not significant enough to distract, or hinder the presentation and value of these items in any manner. However, there are numerous photographs that show those pages know it ask you to please view the photograph carefully and reach your own determine determination, as to their overall effect, if any, on this. item.

A 1993 documentary called Someone Cry for The Children: The Girl Scout Murders, based on the book of the same name by Michael and Dick Wilkerson, was released. The documentary is narrated by Dale Robertson and Johnny Cash. It was directed by Michael Wilkerson.

HOWEVER, I would defer to the numerous photographs included with this listing and ask that you PLEASE USE YOUR OWN JUDGMENT as to the condition and description of this unique and historical item.

I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTARY; that was primarily based upon the book for sale in this sale. It does an excellent job of showing some of the actual vintage, original old footage of the places, people and the evidence involved in this case and the resulting outcome of the trial against Hart.
