SUPERB Late 1800\'s Antique Handmade Patchwork Quilt, Beautiful Backing 84\" X 84\" For Sale

For your consideration is this SUPERB, light-to-medium weight, handmade antique quilt from my personal collection. This quilt was made in the late 1800\'s using a variety of beautiful materials, with an unusual printed backing. I originally purchased this quilt from a seller in Pennsylvania who sold Amish-made quilts. This quilt is absolutely beautiful with great artistry in the use of these amazing old fabrics - it would be a wonderful addition to your antique quilt collection.
The front consists of six rows of blocks, with half-blocks along the outer edge. Each diamond shape measures approximately 9\" X 9\". A blue print sashing goes all the way around the outer edge. The binding is a black and red printed material and the back is a rich, dark red print cotton material. I cannot tell for sure whether the blocks are machine-pieced or hand-pieced. The entire quilt is hand quilted (not machine quilted) in black thread using small stitches.
This quilt measures approximately 84\" x 84\" overall. The quilt is shown in the photos and video on a pull-out bed measuring approximately 52\" wide by 71\" long (which is smaller than a full-sized bed which is 54\" wide by 75\" long).
I examined this quilt carefully and I found one tiny spot on the front, and a separate block that has several small spots; please see the photos with the blue arrow and dime for size reference. I don\'t see any other stains, fading or discoloration, holes, seam splits or fabric thinning.
Overall, this quilt is in excellent condition, I don\'t think this quilt has ever been used as there are no signs of wear and the fabric still feels crisp! Please look carefully at all of the photos and the video so you can understand the overall condition of the quilt. My photos are not filtered or enhanced.
About four years ago, I washed this quilt by hand in my bathtub and dried it on the line (no machine washing or tumble drying). I think that was likely the only time this quilt has ever been washed. This quilt has been carefully stored inside a zippered pillowcase in my smoke-free, pet-free basement; I have never used this quilt in my home.
This beautiful quilt will be mailed to you carefully folded, inside of a zippered pillowcase. The pillow case will be wrapped in white tissue paper, then placed inside of a plastic bag to ensure the quilt stays dry during shipping. I always place my packaged quilts inside of a large, sturdy shipping box with packing peanuts to ensure your purchase arrives in the best condition possible.
