About the Book (Synopsis)
In Servant of the Empire, Raymond E. Feist and Janny Wurts deliver a masterful continuation of their acclaimed Empire Trilogy, set on Kelewan—the world on the other side of the rift from Midkemia.
Following her brutal and bloody ascension, Mara, the ruling Lady of the Acoma, has saved her ancient house from total destruction. But her survival has earned her the vicious, unrelenting enmity of the powerful Minwanabi house. To protect her people and secure her young son\'s future, Mara must navigate the incredibly deadly \"Game of the Council,\" where a single political misstep or poisoned whisper is far more dangerous than a drawn sword.
Breaking ancient Tsurani traditions and utilizing brilliant, unorthodox tactics—including the use of Midkemian prisoners of war—Mara orchestrates a breathtaking campaign of survival, espionage, and ruthless ambition that will shake the very foundations of the Empire itself.
