• Our gage blocks are manufactured under carefully controlled conditions and inspected by the ASME B89.1.9-2002 standard, allowing for an accuracy of +/- 50 million when used at room temperatures of 68 degrees Fahrenheit (or 20 degrees Celsius). The gage blocks are made of fully seasoned alloy tool steelhardened to 65 RC to provide resistance to wear, abrasion, and rust. The inspections are conducted in an ISO-9001 certified laboratory with a master block set that is traceable to NIST and each block\'s deviation are recorded on the NIST traceable calibration form.
• The measuring faces (2 sides) are ground and micro-lapped to surface roughness of Ra 0.016 while the non measuring faces (4 sides) are maintained at Ra 0.63.
• Each gage block is laser marked with a nominal length and serial number with reference to the calibration certificate.
• Inspections takeplace in an ISO-9001 certified laboratory and each block\'s measurement is recorded on the NIST traceable certificate, not a ISO17025 long form certificate.
• Each block isplaced inside a plastic insert holder to prevent corrosion and abrasion.
