Ralph McQuarrie–Signed Millennium Falcon Lithograph with Built-In VIDEO Screen and Five 70mm Film Cells
A striking Star Wars: A New Hope collectible featuring Ralph McQuarrie’s Millennium Falcon artwork, his signature, and five 70mm film cells. The LED lighted framed display also includes a built-in video screen: touch the button on the side of the frame to play an approximately 1 minute, 45 second presentation featuring Falcon scenes and information about the signature and film cells.
This example is especially engaging because the video is part of the framed display, bringing the piece to life alongside the artwork and film cells. A video clip is included with the listing so you can see the screen in action.

A quick note:
I have been collecting the hand-signed Ralph McQuarrie Star Wars lithographs for many years. While the artwork itself is exceptional, the original presentation always felt underwhelming — thin metal frames, scratched plexiglass, and battery-powered light boxes that rarely worked as intended.
A personally hand-signed Ralph McQuarrie piece deserves a presentation worthy of the artwork.
For this display, the lithograph has been carefully mounted in a substantial, classic all-wood shadowbox frame with real glass. To further complement the artwork, I have added authentic 70mm motion picture film cells from the Star Wars theatrical release, creating a unique collector display that celebrates both the legendary concept art and the film itself.
This custom illuminated display features a hand-signed Ralph McQuarrie lithograph depicting the iconic Millennium Falcon from Star Wars: A New Hope.
The lithograph is Limited Edition 802 / 2500 and includes the original signature by Ralph McQuarrie.
The artwork originally came from a 1990s illuminated metal frame display with a failed lighting switch. The lithograph and autograph were carefully removed and preserved, and then professionally remounted into this newly built custom display.
No damage occurred to the print or signature during the transfer.
The finished presentation combines original Star Wars artwork with authentic theatrical film elements in a premium illuminated shadowbox format.
The autograph is the original hand-signed signature included with the limited-edition lithograph.
Authentic 70mm Film Cells
The display includes four authentic 70mm motion picture film cell segments from Star Wars A New Hope, showcasing the iconic scene where are heroes are first introduced to the Millennium Falcon.
Each cell includes the original Willetts Designs collectible number cards identifying the film elements from their collectible series.
The film elements are mounted using a 1 mm spacing from the internal light diffuser to allow even illumination while protecting the film material.
Additional film presentation details:
• Blackened diffuser edges for contrast
• Approximately 80% darkened sprocket holes for improved visual presentation
• UV-protected plexiglass film windows
About 70mm Film
70mm motion picture film was the premium large-format theatrical presentation used for major films including Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Compared to standard 35mm film, 70mm provided significantly greater image clarity, color depth, and detail, making it the preferred format for epic cinematic releases.
Original 70mm film prints were produced in very limited quantities due to their cost and specialized projection requirements, making surviving film elements increasingly collectible today.
The film cells included in this display originate from a 70mm theatrical print, preserving authentic frames from the original motion picture.
