The Inspiration This build was born from mydesire to own the iconic 1970s Citizen \"Red Monkey\" BullheadChronograph, made famous by Brad Pitt in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upona Time in Hollywood. Original vintage models are incredibly hard to findand will easily set you back £1000+ for a decent example.
This custom Silverback piece offers a stunning, highlyaccurate nod to the original at a fraction of the cost—with the added benefitof modern quartz reliability.
The Build & Design Starting with a classic38mm stainless steel Bullhead case, brass dial, and a dependable LD57 movement,each watch is meticulously rebuilt and thoroughly tested by me. It features mycustom 3D gold Silverback Gorilla branding and is paired with a premium brownleather \"Bund\" cuff strap with matching gold-coloured hardware toperfectly capture that Brad Pitt Hollywood aesthetic.
Like all early-model Bullheads, the 38mm case istraditionally proportioned, but the addition of the military-style Bund strapgives it superb wrist presence, allowing it to wear like a much largertimepiece. Give it a go—it is a guaranteed talking point!
