Description: Small Octavos, 10 Volumes. In Very Good condition. Rebound in brown cloth with gilt lettering on the spine. Corners are generally sharp with light wear on the tips. Spine has gilt lettering. Slight indenting of all spine ends. Text block has deckle edge right and bottom, with gilt edge on top. Ex-library copies with bookplate on inside front cover, round stickers on lower spine and various library markings through the text block. All color plates are intact and have red library stamp on their rectos. Plates mounted on tabs. All volumes have frontispiece etchings of famous naturalists Title pages have either etchings or color plates.
Volumes are from the following subsets:
Mammalia IV, XI, XIII,
Ornithology IV, V, IX, X, XI, XII, XIV. Shelved in Room A Octavo Overflow.
NOTES
The series was divided into four main sections: Ornithology (14 volumes), Mammalia (13 volumes), Entomology (7 volumes), and Ichthyology (6 volumes).
