THIS IS A PROFESSIONAL REPAIR SERVICE ONLY for the following Sony 300 and 400 CD units. Sony CDP-CX450, CDP-CX455. Sony 200 CD players are not repaired by us since the belts are no longer available from any vendors.YOU ARE NOT PURCHASING A SONY CD PLAYER!!!! YOU WILL SHIP YOUR SONY CD PLAYER TO US FOR REPAIR AND THE SAME SONY CD PLAYER WILL BE SENT BACK TO YOU. You will need to ship your CD Player to us for repair. Player will be completely disassembled, cleaned,lubricated,all flat cable contacts cleaned,laser module replaced(if needed),all sensors cleaned,belts replaced, carousel roller assemblies epoxied,CD pickup pads replaced,alignment checked and entire unit tested with multiple CD\'s. Wrap the CD player with plastic or use a large bag to completely cover the player,this will prevent the packing material from getting inside of the player with the door open. Please make sure the unit is shipped with the door in the open position, the door is easily damaged in shipping if left in the closed position. These doors are not available as a replacement part. Also remove the two front knobs and place in a bag inside of the shipping box(this lessens the chance of the front circuit boards breaking if the player is dropped during shipping). As of 2019 none of the parts for any of the CD Players are available. The last distributor that had parts available was sold to a new company, this new company does not carry any of the Sony parts.I will not be responsible for doors that are damaged if this procedure is not followed. AFTER YOU OPEN THE DOOR, PLEASE REMOVE ALL OF THE CD\'S FROM THE PLAYER. DO NOT SHIP THE PLAYER WITH CD\'S. I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGED CD\'S IF LEFT IN THE PLAYER. WHEN THE PLAYER IS SHIPPED IT WILL NOT ALWAYS BE IN THE UPRIGHT POSITION. THE CD\'S WILL COME OUT OF THE SLOTS AND MOVE AROUND INSIDE OF THE PLAYER AND CAN BE DAMAGED!! IF THE PLAYER IS SHIPPED WITH CD\'S AND THE UNIT IS DAMAGED IT WILL NOT BE REPAIRED.Please ship with the remote if available so I can test the remote with the player.

This repair service will not cover any player that has been damaged. If inspection shows that the internal boards are damaged or the CD loading mechanism was improperly reassembled by an unqualified person or the player shows signs of water damage, NO REPAIRS will be done.If any of the displays do not work or the player is completely dead, this is a sign that the player has been dropped on the front knobs and the internal circuit boards are broken. If the player was dropped on the front knobs, the circuit board that they are connected to will be broken, if the break is not too bad I will attempt to repair the board. If the board is completely cracked in two pieces I will notify you and not repair the player. If you still want the player repaired I can give you an estimate on how much additional it will cost. IF attempted repairs have been done to the player, or the player shows signs that it was dropped, DO NOT SEND the player to us, as we will not repair it. If you do send the player and we determine that it was dropped and damaged or attempted repairs were performed, we will not repair the player. We will refund your money minus any fees,taxes,return shipping fees and any other charges. If you want the player return to you, you will have to issue an RMA(return shipping label) to us in order to return the player. This service does not cover any repair for physical damage to the cabinet or any of the internal parts.
I will repair your CD Player using genuine factory parts and perform all necessary cleaning,lubrication and adjustments to bring your CD Player back to factory specifications.The flat rate repair service includes inspection,cleaning, lubricating, labor,new belts,laser module replacement(if needed),alignment and one way return ground freight. There is no shipping charge to purchase the repair service. SHIPPING TO ME IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR CORRECT SHIPPING ADDRESS LISTED WITH !!! Do not purchase this repair service if you or some unqualified person attempted to repair the player and now you are trying to get it repaired. Buyers are responsible for making sure their items are delivered safely for service. If the player is damaged in shipping due to your poor packaging you will be notified.The player MUST be packaged properly with bubble wrap or packing peanuts to prevent damage. DO NOT USE THE LARGE \"AIR PILLOWS\" THEY TEND TO DEFLATE IN SHIPPING HEAVY PLAYERS.You are responsible for all shipping cost to send the player to me.I would recommend paying for shipping insurance of at least $250.00 in case the player is damaged in shipping. I would recommend taking photos of the player from all sides and send a copy to me, this is in case the player is damaged in shipping we will have proof that the player was not damaged when it was shipped. Use a 24\" x 24\' x 12\" double wall box filled with large size bubble wrap or packing peanuts. If you use packing peanuts the player MUST be wrapped in plastic or in a bag to prevent the packing peanuts from going inside of the player. YOU MUST HAVE A MINIMUM THREE INCHES OF PACKING MATERIAL around the player! Have more packing material in the front of the player to prevent any damage caused by the box being dropped on the side of the box where the knobs are located. Make sure that the door is in the open position. I will not be responsible for damaged doors if you do not follow this procedure. These doors are not available as a replacement part. You must also remove the two front knobs and place them in a bag inside of the container.The carriers shipping insurance WILL NOT cover damage if you do not follow this procedure. If you do not follow these guidelines and you use a poorly packed container and the player arrives damaged, I will not repair the player. I will refund your money, minus any tax,return shipping charges and fees that was collected.If you want your damaged player returned you, will have to send me a RMA to return the player to you or I will deduct from your payment for the return shipping charges. Any money left over after the shipping charges are deducted will be returned to you. Ship your unit to me with your ID written clearly on the OUTSIDE of the shipping box. (Please keep a record of your shipping confirmation as claims regarding lost or stolen shipments will need to be filed with the carrier.)
Make sure that the player is carefully packaged to prevent shipping damage.Follow my shipping instructions or take the player to a FedEx or a UPS store and have them pack and ship the player. DO NOT!!!! LET THEM use the large \"air pillows\" they tend to deflate with heavy players, your player will then be loose inside of the box and can be damaged.I had a customer send me his player for repair,he used a shipping service to package and ship his player. The shipping service used the large air pillows for packaging.When I received the player most of the pillows were deflated and the player was damaged because it was loose in the shipping box. He had to file a claim with the shipping service.

I will repair and return in most cases within two weeks of being received. IF there are any issues with your order, I will contact you using the information provided on .WARRANTY:ALL REPAIRS THAT I HAVE PERFORMED are warranted for 90 days starting from the date the CD Player is shipped back to you.The warranty covers workmanship or defective parts that I have installed only. I will install a tamper sticker on the outside of the cabinet. The internal boards and parts will also be marked with special ink. If the player is returned for warranty and the sticker is removed or the player is damaged or the internal parts do not have the special markings, the warranty will be null and void if the player is returned to me under warranty.This for persons who will remove working parts and install defective parts and then claim warranty service. I have had persons remove good parts and then try to file a claim stating that the unit did not work. NO REFUND will be issued if any of the above is noted. If you return a defective,dead or not working player and it is determined that it was DAMAGED IN SHIPPING OR BY YOU, or some other part that I DID NOT install has gone bad you will be notified of the additional cost to repair the player. If you do not agree with this policy please do not purchase this repair service. I take photo\'s of the player and shipping container before I ship the player back to you. This step is performed to have proof that the player and shipping container was not damaged before it was shipped. I had a customer claim that I sent them back a damaged player and claim to that I must have dropped it because the whole front cabinet was cracked. They sent me back the player in the same shipping box,the box had NO DAMAGE at all to it. When I looked at the player you can see that it was dropped on the right front of the cabinet because all the plastic was cracked and the internal CD carousel was completely broken off of its mount and was forced into the main circuit board breaking it. The customer had to drop the player and then tried to claim that I caused the damage. What is funny is I wrap the CD player in plastic before I package the entire player. They claimed they never opened the packaging because the player was damaged. How did the two front knobs get installed on the front of the cabinet and NONE of the broken plastic pieces were inside of the plastic wrap. If this amount of damage was cause in shipping the whole corner of the box would have been damaged and like I said the box looked as new as when I shipped it to them. For this reason take photos of your CD player before you package it and of the shipping box. Send these photos to me through . This is the proof for any shipping damage that the player was fine when you shipped it.The warranty does not cover liquid damage, customer abuse, attempted repairs, Acts of God, shipping damage or cosmetic issues.DISCLAIMER:

Buyer is responsible for any charges related to damage due to poor packaging when shipped to seller. The buyer will be required to contact the shipping company and file a claim for damage. The shipping company insurance will not cover players that are not packaged properly in the recommended box and packing material. They will not cover claims for players that are packed with newspaper or other type of paper. You must have at least three inches of packing material around the entire CD Player. If you want to guarantee that the shipping insurance will cover any damage, take your player to a FedEX or UPS store and have them package and ship your player. DO NOT let them use the large\"air pillows\" they tend to deflate with heavy CD players. If you ship a player back to me for any reason YOU must take out shipping insurance. If you do not, and the player is damaged in shipping, I will not be responsible for any damages. I have had buyers send the player back to me, with damage that clearly shows that the player was dropped on the corner of the unit to the point that the frame was bent and they claim it was fine when they sent it to me. They claim it must have been damaged in return shipping even tho the shipping box shows no sign of being dropped.

During cold weather YOU MUST allow the player to warm to room temperature!!! If you fail to allow the player to warm up,moisture on the internal boards can cause the player to short out. This is similar to what happens to your glasses when you come in from the cold and the lenses will fog up. If you want to return the player because it does not work, and inspection shows that moisture shorted out the player, NO refund will be issued!

Be sure that the player is on a flat surface! If the player is not level, it may cause a malfunction or damage the player.

Please be aware that there is alwaysrisk involved when purchasing anything that is repaired in a used or pre-ownedcondition. My warranty covers my labor and any parts that I have installed and not for any others parts that may go bad in the future.
