The pin that controls the automatic aperture sticks in occasionally and has to be pulled back out to get it to work again. Also, there is a fleck of paint? from the inside of the lensthat is inside the lens and a few dust specks, you can see in in one of my photos above. Otherwise, the lens is in nice shape, focusing is smooth and the glass is mark free. I am not 100% positive of the mount, I do not have a Salyut camera to try it on, but I do have a lens that I know is from a Salyut and the mount looks identical.
