Rare, bronzed metal commemorative desk model of the Delaware and Hudson Railroad\'s Stourbridge Lion, the historic steam locomotive that traveled the first railroad in America in 1829.
This model was made in 1929 to commemorate the D&H Railroad\'s 100th anniversary. It\'s cast in metal with a golden bronze finish and excellent detail. The base is embossed \"THE STOURBRIDGE LION 1829\" on one side and \"THE DELAWARE AND HUDSON RAILROAD\" on the other. The back of the tender is marked \"PAT. PEND.\" The bottom is covered in reddish brown felt.
It measures 7\" tall by 9.5\" wide by 3.75\" deep, and weighs 3 lbs.
