The Bestiary: A book of beasts, being a translation from a Latin bestiary of the twelfth century by T. H. White (G.P. Putnam's Sons, 1960). Includes line-drawing illustrations, black/white reproductions from medieval manuscripts, bibliography, index. Paperback. 296 pp. Very good. Binding intact. Spine somewhat bumped and rubbed, but edges intact. Covers slightly tanned (visible along inner edges), and slightly chipped; back cover smudged along binding and touched by bookshop's used stamp-roll, whose trace is also visible across lower edge of pages. Black marker was used (not by us!) on front flyleaf to cancel bookshop's small notes on used status. Pages otherwise clean and bright, no marks.
