In the 1890s he wrote fantastical scientific romances similar to the works of Jules Verne and H. G. Wells. He was an associate of the occultist Madame Helena Blavatsky and contributed to her \"Secret Doctrine\" and wrote for the Theosophical Society and the magazine Lucifer.In the teens and 20\'s he started investigating philosophy and mysticism further. His brother, Colonel Percy Harrison Fawcett DSO FRGS, went missing in 1925 in deep unexplored Brazil, in search of the lost city he called \" Z \".Douglas Fawcett held a deep interest in the frontiers of human thought and the imagination. \" THE ZERMATT DIALOGUES\" and his later book \" THE OBERLAND DIALOGUES\" (1939) lay out much of his thinking.
The book even though it was produced by a major publisher must\'ve had a relatively small print run as it is quite scarce nowadays. I\'m very surprised some enterprising small press hasn\'t reprinted it yet.
Fawcett was a mentor to Neville Goddard and definitely influenced his thought. Neville mentioned him in more than a few of his lectures and quoted him frequently.
