Large antique oil on board of the Bishops Palace in Chartres France by listed French artist Therese Clement (1889 - 1964). An extensive biography of the artist is attached verso and shown in the last photo.
Condition of this large painting is very good with no apparent paint loss or restoration. The old unique custom made frame, which is filled with tiny hand painted designs, is also in very good condition overall with some minor paint losses on the corners.
The painting is signed lower left. Sight size is 23\" x 31\"and 29\" x 38\" framed.
Provenance is through the Obro art gallery in Copenhagen and a gallery signed certificate of authenticity is attached to the rear of the painting.
