After you remove the plunger & spring from your slide, and remove the 2 actuating levers from your 1911 frame, you install this \"shim\" (Frame Slot Filler) (spacer plate) into the gap that the 2 removed actuating levers created; if you do not fill that gap, your sear will walk into that gap and lock your entire trigger mechanism.

These parts fit 99.99% of all Colt 1911 Series \'80 & \'90 & 1991A1, as well as most Para Ordnance / ParaOrd, they will also fit most Sig Sauer 1911\'s, Dan Wesson 1911\'s, and most other 1911\'s that have incorporated the firing pin block mechanism similar to Colt. (Kimber does not use this same design)
The original parts (Colt) have a thickness of .057\", and most other 1911\'s follow that size, but if you want a snugger fit, I also offer these in .060\", .065\" and .030\". I will ship only .057\" unless you specifically request a .060\" size at checkout. (.030\" & .065\" listed elsewhere, see my other sales)

I usually ship within 3 business days of your purchase, but due to poor USPS service I have seen them take OVER 2 WEEKS to deliver items; this is out of my control!!!
If the USPS tracking doesn\'t show any scans for over a week and looks BLANK, that does NOT mean that I did not ship your item!!!!!!
It only means that they did not scan it in at the post office when shipped; this is very common here.
