An attractive example of Thailand’s iconic 11th Series 100 Baht note, featuring King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) in full royal regalia. This desirable TB140 variety features the Boonma Wongsawan / Bisudhi Nimmanhaemina signature combination and Prefix 28Kน.
The 11th Series banknotes were the first banknotes printed by the Bank of Thailand’s own banknote printing works. At the beginning, the designs and plate engraving were carried out by foreign experts.
Obverse: Portrait of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) in full royal regalia, with the Garuda emblem on the upper left and Thai inscriptions.
Reverse: Wat Phra Kaew, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, officially known as Wat Phra Si Rattana Satsadaram, located within Bangkok’s Grand Palace complex.
