Externally, publishers original cover bound in heavy black calf-boards with gilt embossed titling and image of a soldier on horseback brandishing a sword. The covers are in excellent condition and the book is tightly bound and secure. The back cover shows some markings.
Internally, condition is near-fine throughout with clean endpapers. There is a previous owners signature on the inside front cover. There are 204 pages, containing upwards of 300 photographs with descriptions and 22 pages of text at the rear titled \"Summary of the War\". An excellent copy for those interested in the Boer War. Overall condition is very good. Size: 29.5cm x 23cm
