Original 1882 The Lutheran Witness Newspaper – Vol. 1, No. 2 (June 7, 1882) Zanesville, OH
Up for sale is an incredibly rare, authentic piece of American church history: a single, loose issue of The Lutheran Witness, dated June 7, 1882. This is the highly desirable Volume 1, Number 2 issue from the publication's very first year in print.Edited and published by Rev. C.A. Frank in Zanesville, Ohio, this periodical was created under the auspices of the Cleveland District Conference and dedicated to the interests of the Joint Synod of Missouri (known today as the LCMS).
Please see photos for more details. This book is 144 years old. It is in fair condition. The binding is still together but loose. There are some minor tears and some discoloration. Overall, for 144 years old I think it's holding its own. It is in need of someone to care for it as it needs to be preserved.
Thanks for your interest.
