Those Amazing Chicks by
Stan Melville. Explicit Library reader.
This book is a very rare pulp fiction paperback published in San Diego, California in 1978 during the so called Sexual Revolution. Tight, sound, unmarked copy. One of the best in this genre, highly recommended. 190 pages measuring about 4.3\" x 7\".
The author\'s name may be a pseudonym. Many mainstream best selling authors like Anne Rice have used pseudonyms to write smutty type books. They often do this to avoid their mainstream publishers censorship or to avoid being type cast as smut writers. This book probably was written by just such an author. Recommended for fans of vintage rare erotica.
Erotic literature comprises fictional and factual stories. Although cultural disapproval of erotic literature has always existed, its circulation was not seen as a major problem before the invention of printing, as the costs of producing individual manuscripts limited distribution to a very small group of wealthy readers. The invention of printing, in the 15th century, brought with it both a greater market and increasing restrictions, censorship, jail terms for authors and readers and book burnings. I think it is interesting that even today it is easier to get into trouble for producing or possessing erotic literature, movies or art than it is to get into trouble for items depicting acts of violence. Today the forces of repression are on the march again, destroying works of art and literature.
