Three antique hand carved wood whimsy, ball in cage. The largest at 6.5 inches tall and is unusual, it was carved to keep the remaining spindle intact that is holding the ball in place. The second piece stands at 5 inches and the smallest at 4 inches. These likely date from the late 1800’s to the 1930’s and were commonly made as a child’s rattle. I am selling my small whimsy collection so please see my other three whimsy’s for sale.
