USS Dwight D Eisenhower CVN-69 2020 Corona Cruise Memorabilia Lot - 7 Patches & COVID Medal Challenge Coin HSM-74 VFA-83Up for sale is a rare, highly collectible piece of naval history: a complete 8-piece memorabilia lot from the historic 2020 "Corona Cruise" deployment aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69).
This specific deployment became legendary after the carrier strike group spent a grueling, record-breaking 206 consecutive days at sea without a single port visit to protect the crew from the global pandemic. This lot perfectly captures the unique culture, dark humor, and camaraderie born from that unprecedented time.
Available right now for a Buy It Now price of $105.00 , this bundle offers a fantastic deal compared to trying to hunt down each individual piece on the secondary market.
The centerpiece of this collection is the heavy, custom-shaped "COVID Chewables" antacid bottle challenge coin/medal, packed with deployment-specific parody details like "Survivability Likely" and "Deployment 2020 Approved."
Alongside the coin, you get 7 highly detailed patches representing the air wing and squadrons on board:
• The classic "Corona 20 Cruise 20" bottle parody patch explicitly marked CVN-69.
• The VFA-83 Rampagers circular "Ike-A-Traz Booze Cruise 2020" patch.
• The HSM-74 "Swamp Fox" squadron insignia patch.
• The festive HSM-71 "Raptors" holiday skeleton patch.
• Two matching HSM-74 JWS / TRX shield tactical detachment patches.
• The USS Dwight D. Eisenhower "I Did The Ditch" 2020 Suez Canal transit patch.
Regarding condition, all items look beautiful, crisp, and brand new. However, because I want to be entirely transparent with fellow collectors, I am listing them as "Pre-owned / Open Box" because I cannot definitively verify them as "New Without Tags." They have been stored carefully and show no notable wear, fading, or fraying.
This is an incredible, instant "time capsule" collection for any serious military insignia collector or naval aviation veteran. I am selling this strictly as a complete 8-piece lot to preserve the historical context of the set.
