This is a true piece of snowboarding history: a 1985/6 Sims 1710 Blade with original red/white colorway. I am the original owner and purchased this board brand new in late 1985 in Eugene, Oregon. This board has remained in my possession for 38 years.This is NOT the common 1986/87 "Neon" version frequently seen on . Year & Origin: Verified 1985/86 production. This board was handmade in the USA during the early years of Tom Sims’ California production, before manufacturing was moved to large-scale Canadian and European facilities.

Hand-Crafted Authenticity: Consistent with handmade decks from this specific window, this board features no stamped serial number on the sidewall or topsheet. In the mid-80s, these U.S. builds were produced in small batches, and the absence of a serial number is a recognized hallmark of these early, non-standardized runs.

9-Hole Mounting Pattern:Early, pre-standardization 9-hole cluster for the bindings with original factory metal inserts. This "strange" pattern was Sims’ early solution for adjustable stances and definitively dates the board to the 1985/86 era.

Rare Graphic Colorway: Features the early "White/Grey Shadow" logo on a vibrant Red Topsheet. It lacks the silver accents and neon colors that defined the later 1986–1988 era.
