Important Note on Design & Craftsmanship (What You Are Seeing)

If you examine the outer domed lid under light, you will see subtle circular brush strokes and textured glaze variations in the dark matte finish. This is original to the manufacturing process and not a flaw or paint.

• The Finish: Dansk’s iconic 1950s/60s Flamestone line features a dense stoneware body finished with a hand-applied matte dark chocolate glaze on the exterior prior to kiln firing. Those visible brush marks are the authentic mark of hand-applied glazing by Danish artisans.

• The Interior: The cooking surface features a smooth, durable, factory-baked semi-gloss ceramic glaze in white, creating a striking contrast with the dark exterior.

• Diameter: Approx. 10 inches

• Total Depth: Approx. 2¾ inches

• Lid & Handles: Fully intact with crisp fluted detail around the rim and no structural damage. There area few very small, chips located on the outer edge of the lid rim only ( highlighted in the close-up photo ). They do not affect the fit, lid seal, or function in any way.

• Base / Foot Rim: Shows only light, normal shelf-friction along the unglazed stoneware bottom rim underneath, consistent with gentle handling.

• Overall: Outstanding vintage condition for a Flamestone piece of this age and size.
