Lefty glove (left handed thrower. Glove worn on the right hand).
Most gloves listed for a standard \"righty\" glove (dime a dozen)...
See the last photo to get an idea as to how rare this glove can be as there were approximately 11-12 left handed ball players in the league per season in the late 1920s.
This is a buckle back glove that were introduced in the mid-late 1920s.
Prior to the buckle back, gloves were typically a belt & button closure.
Please see the next to last picture for the approximate glove type.
No labels or names are visible on this glove therefore I Can not guarantee what brand, manufacturer or player endorsed model this glove may be.
This glove is as to be expected for being 100 years old (Visible signs of age & wear).
Condition note: The belt is detached from the glove on the left side (see pics).
- This can easily be reattached through the existing sewn holes in the leather however, as I am a fan of age & wear on my antique items, I have performed NO restorations to this glove.
- I personally feel that the wear adds character however, should the buyer not like this, the option to reattach clearly presents itself.
