ITEM: (#C-610)VTG 1987 KIT CARSON Southwestern Solid Sterling Silver Snake Bolo Tie 36 GramsExcellent vintage handmade sterling silver and leather bolo tie by renown Southwestern silversmith, Kit Carson.Kit Carson is an American Western jewelry artist known for highly detailed engraved silver work and animal imagery.Dated 1987 on the bolo, this incredible design features an elaborate dimensional snake motif across the slide. the layered construction is extensively decorated with hand engraving, including geometric, sun, scale and linear designs. Finished with a black braided leather cord, engraved sterling silver tips and 2 sculptural sterling silver snake-form dangles. Signed KIT CARSON STERLING 1987 on the reverse. The bolo measures 1 1/2\" x 1 5/8\" with 3 3/4\" sterling dangle tips. The weight is a significant 36 grams and it is 20\" in length when folded over.
