VTG Aldo Londi Bitossi Penguin Figurine Rare Mondrian Matte Black Blue Green 6\"
This appears to be a rare (matte finish) Penguin figurinedesigned by art directorAldo Londifor Bitossi Ceramiche (Italy) circa 1960s. Apparently it is a scarcematte blackmulti-glaze variantof the Rimini Blu.
Overall it is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, post-productiondamage, or repairs. The beak has a separation line where the beak meets the head.This is afiring flaw / kiln separation from the manufacturing process and quite common.The tip of the beaklooks a little off, again, part of the handmade process and common.There is still some glue residueon the bottom ring left over from felt pads as well assomeglue residue on the back side, apparentlyfrom a label that has since come off.Please look at the photos carefully and ask if you have any questions.
