This museum-quality textile features an alternating checkerboard pattern of exquisitely detailed had-woven figural lined panels framed by elaborate geometric needlelace inserts and a delicate scalloped lace trim. Exquisite Figural Imagery Details, unlike standard floral lace, this is a true "storytelling" textile featuring highly unique, hand-detailed embroidered figural inserts: Hatching Chicks: Whimsical panels depicting a newly hatched baby chick stepping entirely out of a beautifully detailed cracked eggshell, surrounded by tall grass. Renaissance Foliage Faces, elaborate Grotesque/Green Man style mythical faces.
