I have had this on the top of my china cabinet for at least past two maybe three decades. It was a gift from a friend that went on safari in Africa. I'm not sure of the wood, but believe it looks like teak.
This beautiful gazelle is a tiny bit more than 14" tall. It's solid carved wood. I have never oiled it, just wiped it as I dusted. It was hand carved in Kenya. A bit of the Kenya label still shows at the bottom. It's as photographed. My camera shows scratch here and there, but I never noticed any flaws sitting on my china cabinet. The carver may have put in a few scratches as he or she was carving it. It's weight is about 1.5 pound unboxed, unpacked. and packed, it will be a longer box to protect the horns and will weigh probably about 2.3 pounds shipping weight. The base is approx. 6" wide by 3" deep as is the statue size as well.
