Vintage 4-string metal-body banjo ukulele / banjolele, believed to be an American Eagle Brand instrument made by American Plating & Manufacturing Co. of Chicago, dating to approximately 1926–1928.This unusual early banjo ukulele features:* Metal/brass-style banjo body
* Dark wood neck and fingerboard
* Four friction-style tuning pegs
* White dot fret markers
* Decorative eagle emblem on the headstock
* Approximately 8-inch pot
* Approximately 14-inch scale lengthThe instrument is currently missing its bridge and strings and has not been tested for playability.The metal body has expected age-related tarnish, oxidation and surface wear. The neck and fingerboard also show wear consistent with an instrument approaching 100 years old.There appears to have originally been a rear resonator/back cover, which is no longer present. The banjo is therefore being sold exactly as pictured and as-is, primarily for restoration, collecting, display or parts.Please examine all photos carefully, as they are an important part of the condition description.Item SpecificsBrand: American / Eagle Brand
