d e t a i l s : Vintage late 1930s early 1940s super soft cobalt blue silk velvet dress. This has a high v neckline with an reworked art deco 1920s beaded \"tie\" down the front in contrasting black, white, orange and a pop of pink. This has 3/4 length sleeves with ruching details, ruching/pleating details at the neckline and torso, a lightly nipped waistline and a long o n d i t i o n : Great overall i z i n g : this would fit a M-XL best - it\'s shown here on an XS mannequin - but please use measurements below for ideal fit. NOTE: I didn\'t include a medium in this dress because the arm hole openings seem on the smaller side.

✦ SIZING - Vintage clothing sizing does not reflect modern standards. When determining size, make sure you account for enough room to move comfortably. Additionally, vintage clothing is more fragile and should be worn with this in mind. Occasionally there are seam allowances or darts that can be removed, as well as tailors that can alter a vintage item to fit your particular shape.
When determining size I recommend measuring the following:
HIPS: measure around the fullest part of your hips.
BUST: measure over the fullest part of your bust while wearing a bra.
WAIST: measure around the smallest point of your natural waistline.
SHOULDER TO WAIST: measure from the very top of your shoulder - where the seam would lie, down the front, over the bust, to your waistline.
LENGTH: measure from the top of your shoulder, down the front, and to the point where the hem would be. Inseam measurements for pants would be measured from the inside of the leg at the very top of the groin, down to the hem.
✦ SHOE SIZING - I take actual measurements inside the shoe from toe to heel, as well as width measurements inside the shoe as accurately as possible.
