BEAUTIFUL, highly collectible vintage 1940-1945 Heddon Model 740 Punkinseed wood fishing lure in the desirable White Shore Minnow (XS) pattern. This features the early two-piece \"flap rig\" belly hardware and the scarce line tie positioned on the wood body directly above the diving lip. The lure boasts a crisp, fully legible black \"HEDDON PUNKINSEED\" belly stencil and remarkably vibrant silver herringbone rib patterns. It remains in excellent vintage condition with completely solid wood and intact hardware, showing only minor, age-appropriate surface wear including a small paint ding by the upper red gill and a light surface scratch near the tail/belly stamp. A fantastic, honest, and well-preserved addition to any advanced early American tackle collection.
