Vintage 1968 Fisher Price Music Box Teaching Clock No 998 Working Read Condition For Sale

This vintage 1968 Fisher Price Music Box Teaching Clock No. 998 is a classic educational toy featuring a bright red case, colorful mid‑century graphics, and a functioning music box that plays when the top knob is turned. The clock hands rotate properly, and the illustrated sun‑and‑moon face remains vibrant. The music plays, but a sequential clicking sound is heard in rhythm with the tune, suggesting internal wear typical of older Fisher Price music mechanisms. The top handle is broken, and several red pen markings are visible on the case. The toy shows age‑related scuffs, scratches, edge wear, and light fading, but the graphics remain intact and the structure is solid with no missing parts other than the handle. The rear panel retains its original printed instructions and artwork. This piece represents Fisher Price’s early educational design era and remains a desirable collectible despite its cosmetic and functional quirks.
