Up for sale/sale is a clean, highly collectible 1975 Bulova Accutron featuring a factory deep blue radial pattern dial and the historic 360 Hz tuning fork electronic movement.
*** MOVEMENT & RE-PHASING NOTE ***
One of the biggest issues with buying vintage Accutrons is that original 1.35V mercury batteries are no longer made, and unserviced movements run fast or double-index on modern 1.55V cells.
This watch has been PROPERLY RE-PHASED. The index and pawl mechanism engagement has been adjusted so it runs accurately and reliably on cheap, readily available modern 1.55V Silver Oxide batteries (344 / SR1136SW cell). No expensive adapter required!
WATCH DETAILS & CONDITION:
• Movement: Legendary Bulova Caliber 218 tuning fork movement (Stamped N5 for 1975). Hums strongly with the signature continuous smooth-sweeping seconds hand.
• Dial: Stunning factory deep blue starburst/radial dial with sharp white radiating track lines. Applied silver tuning fork logo at 12 o\'clock and marked \"- T - S -\" at 6 o\'clock.
• Case: Solid stainless steel case in original, unpolished/lightly polished condition with sharp lines. Signature offset 4 o\'clock crown.
• Crystal: Acrylic crystal in clean condition with clear view of the dial.
• Band: Fitted on a black lizard-grain genuine leather strap with silver buckle.
