Outstanding vintage computer collectible and an increasingly difficult early Intel upgrade board to find with its original retail box and original protective packaging.
The Intel Inboard 386/AT was designed to give compatible 80286-based AT computers 80386 processing capability without replacing the entire computer. Intel marketed the board as a Personal Computer Enhancement for systems including compatible IBM PC AT, Compaq Deskpro 286 and Tandy 3000-series machines, subject to system-specific compatibility.
Features advertised on the original packaging include:
• 16 MHz Intel 80386 processor
• Designed to provide 386 capability to compatible 80286/AT systems
• Support for up to 1 MB of memory on the board
• Support for additional memory with optional Piggyback board
• Socket for optional math coprocessor

CONDITION:
New old stock / open box.
The outer retail box has been opened. The Intel board itself appears unused and remains inside its original protective packaging exactly as photographed. PROTECTIVE PACKAGING HAS A SMALL TEAR ON ONE CORNER SHOWN IN THE LAST PHOTOGRAPH. original seal sticker is still intact. It has not been removed for testing.
The original box has visible cosmetic storage and shelf wear from age including edge/corner wear, surface marks and discoloration. Please examine all photos as they are an important part of the condition description.
This is vintage electronic hardware dating to 1987 and has NOT been function-tested due to being still sealed in plastic.
PLEASE NOTE:
The original Intel box specifically states:
"This box contains the Inboard 386/AT board. Requires cable sold separately."
The end label also states that it "REQUIRES SEPARATE INSTALLATION KIT."
Therefore, the installation cable/kit is NOT included. Sale includes only the components and packaging shown in the photographs.
