For sale is a vintage 4th-5th version CAP spinning reel. End of 1953 beginning of 1954. The 4th version has a half bail, the 5th version has a full bail. I believe this to be an end of 4th version production model and beginning of the 5th model version. The 4th version as I mentioned has a half bail and just the word cap on the reel body with made in France. The 5th version now had the full bail, but they added the Mitchell name under the name Cap. This reel only has the name Cap name on the body. This reel has had a complete service and cleaning. No parts were replaced. It is all original. The bail is strong, and snaps closed. The anti reverse works just as it should. The drag works just as it should. This reel was lightly used. Light boat rash on the bottom, and on the rotor. but no scratches or chipped paint to speak of. It was well taken care of. Please see all pictures as they are part of the description. This reel came from a large estate. Sold in as is condition.
