This rug is in beautiful vintage structural condition, featuring a very thick, heavy, and full wool pile with completely intact hand-bound edges and natural fringe. There are no holes, dry rot, structural rips, or tears.

There are small clusters of loose surface lint and minor stray fibers/pet hair caught in the dense wool pile.Near the fringe border, there is an isolated, small spot showing a light, dried surface spill/residue on the very tips of the red wool fibers (clearly highlighted in the zoomed-in photos).
The wool foundation beneath remains completely solid and undamaged. We have left this rug in its found, unwashed estate condition. These minor cosmetic surface areas should easily improve or lift out entirely with a routine vacuuming, localized spot treatment, or a standard professional rug cleaning.
