Vintage Chinese “Hundred Antiques” / Precious Treasures Wall Panels – Matched Pair
Exceptional matched pair of vintage Chinese decorative wall panels featuring elaborate three-dimensional compositions inspired by the traditional “Hundred Antiques” or “Precious Treasures” motif.
Each panel measures approximately 12\" x 24\" and features an intricate pierced green lattice background surrounded by dark finished wood architectural framing. Numerous individually applied dimensional elements create richly detailed scenes filled with traditional Chinese decorative and auspicious imagery.
The panels feature an impressive assortment of flowering branches and blossoms, ornamental vases and vessels, birds, a deer, fruit, potted plants and other decorative objects. Large central vessels anchor each composition and are surrounded by sculptural flowers, foliage and figures.
The two panels are complementary rather than identical and display beautifully together as a matched pair.
Construction incorporates wood along with a variety of dimensional decorative materials. Several elements have carved stone-like appearances; however, the individual materials have not been tested or authenticated, and no representation is made that any component is jade or another specific stone.
