Wonderful collection lot of five vintage mid-century lithographed metal scripture motto plaques, published by the historic Christian Press in Sydney, Australia. These nostalgic tabletop easel frames feature classic Biblical verses paired with beautiful retro pictorial transfers. The collection includes one large landscape plaque depicting a serene mountain lake scene with Isaiah 30:15, a smaller wetland marsh duck plaque with 1 Peter 5:7, a portrait white rose display with Mark 11:22, a stylized yellow ikebana flower pot arrangement with Proverbs 3:5, and a sweet spring lamb portrait carrying Genesis 26:24. Each plaque is constructed with a raised tin frame border and built-in fold-out kickstands, making them excellent decorative accents for a gallery wall, prayer room, or retro religious memorabilia collection.
This five-piece lot is in stable vintage condition, showcasing an authentic aged character and historic patina. The front lithographed faces remain crisp, colorful, and fully readable, exhibiting only minor edge scuffing and tiny spots of paint rubbing along the perimeter margins from past handling. The reverse sides show typical estate storage traits, including extensive surface rust tracking, uniform oxidation spotting, and age-related metal discoloration. The large plaque still retains its original Christian Press Sydney black and green foil manufacturer label on the rear leg. All five backing stands are fully functional for table display, though please note that three of the smaller frames have had their easel legs updated with durable black plastic replacement arms over the original metal backing rivets.
