Before ColecoVision, there was the Telstar Arcade. Released in 1977, this wonderfully unusual console put a steering wheel and gearshift, a light gun, and paddle controls on three sides of one machine. Coleco released only four triangular cartridges for the system—and all four are included here.

The centerpiece is Cartridge #4, complete with its instructions. It plays Naval Battle, Speed Ball, and Blast Away. This is the rarest cartridge in the lineup and the one many Telstar Arcade collectors are still hunting. In my experience, Cartridge #4 alone can sell for $300–$500 by itself with instructions.

In nearly 50 years of dealing in vintage electronic games, this is the best Telstar Arcade set I have seen. The original box is gorgeous, and the internal cardboard packing is remarkably well preserved. Every silver metal center is present in the console’s knobs. Cartridge #2 includes its correct pair of rotary controllers, and both still have their silver centers—details that are so often missing.

The original ties remain on the power supply, light gun, and Cartridge #2 controller cords. That makes me wonder whether this system was ever used, though I cannot verify its history. I have no way to test it, so the console, accessories, and cartridges are sold as is. Please study all the photos for the exact contents and cosmetic condition.

A note on shipping: I will pack everything in a large, well-protected outer box, with the console outside its original retail box. The internal packing is too beautiful to risk damaging by forcing the console back inside. Once it arrives, you can decide whether to place it in the box for display.

Finding a Telstar Arcade is one thing. Finding all four cartridges, including #4 with instructions, together with a box, original packing, and these intact finishing details is quite another. This is a serious collector’s set....and one I am proud to am listing a massive collection of vintage electronic games, game consoles, and arcade memorabilia.I have fiddled with vintage games for more than 45 years.
