Up for sale is a remarkably preserved, original 1960s vintage Corgi Toys #490 Volkswagen Breakdown Truck in mustard/dark yellow. This is the factory-correct late production variant issued without the side door decals.
Truck & Accessory Condition: This item is 100% COMPLETE, which is incredibly rare for this reference. The opening tool box functions perfectly and contains all 10 original bright chrome tools (wrenches, drill, hammers, etc.). The red bed organizer is immaculate, holding the battery, gas cans, and the notoriously easy-to-lose small funnel—all featuring brilliant chrome accents. The spare tire and original tow hook assembly are fully present. The spring-loaded rubber wheel mechanism operates perfectly to extend and retrieve the tow cord. Paint is in stunning, bright condition with no sticker residue or wear, microscopic box-rub wear on the bumper edges. Note: The left front tire has a small flat spot from long-term storage, but it does not affect the truck\'s excellent display stance.
Box Condition: The original picture box is in true excellent condition with crisp edges, vibrant colors, and absolutely no tears or shelf wear. Features two historic, nostalgic price stickers on opposing flaps (including a $2.00 tag from T.A. Chapman Co.).Please see all photos and let us know if you have any questions.
