A desirable vintage British EMI loudspeaker featuring the original large elliptical EMI DLSU/13/4 driver and 4-ohm impedance. The DLS-529 is a classic early British hi-fi design known for its unusual large elliptical driver configuration and substantial internally damped wooden cabinet.
TESTED:
The speaker has been tested and is working, producing good solid sound.
The interior appears solid and well preserved for its age. Original-style internal acoustic padding, wiring, crossover components and EMI driver are present as pictured.
CONDITION:
Good vintage working condition with significant cosmetic wear to the wooden cabinet.
The cabinet has scratches, scuffs, finish wear and areas of peeling/chipped wood veneer/finish around the cabinet, edges and corners. Please examine the photos carefully, as the cosmetic wear is clearly shown and is part of the condition description.
Despite the exterior wear, the cabinet remains solid and the interior presents well for its age. The woven front grille remains intact and displays nicely with an authentic vintage appearance.
