An incredibly rare, legendary piece of acoustic guitar history: an original FRAP (Flat Response Audio Pickup) F-100 preamp complete with its 3-D contact transducer sensor.Famously known as the secret behind Neil Young's iconic acoustic tone, and utilized heavily by Michael Hedges, these Arnie Lazarus designed systems are virtually impossible to find as complete and fully functional.The FRAP bypasses the "quack" and "honk" of typical vintage piezo pickups. By utilizing a true bi-FET preamp circuit paired with the 3-D transducer block, it outputs an extraordinarily transparent mic-like audio signal that remains highly response resistant on stage.Preamp Unit: fully functional, whisper quiet with massive headroom.The only component updates are the battery clips, professionally replaced during service.The transducer is included and is fully functional.Interior mounting is accomplished with the use of silicone rubber adhesive.From what I gather, the transducer is generally attached to the bridge plate, below and across from the corner of the x-brace.*I wouldn't use Epoxy. If used, removal or repositioning is not going to ever happen!
