Three mid-century Masonic books, offered as a lot. All are hardcover and readable.
The Bible is the Holman Masonic Edition, blue cloth, gilt square and compasses on the cover and “Holy Bible / Masonic Edition” on the spine. It is the King James text, Black Face 8vo, plus the illustrated Kelchner section, The Bible and King Solomon’s Temple in Masonry.
The presentation page is filled out, not blank, for Howard James Wall, raised February 9, 1948. Later pages carry lodge signatures, including visiting brethren. Cloth is scuffed at the edges, pages are toned, and the binding is still square.
The black book is the 1955 Frederick Muller first printing of Pick and Knight’s pocket reference, gilt spine bright, text block clean. A working Masonic dictionary, not a ritual.
The green book is the 1929 General Grand Chapter Eastern Star ritual, first edition completed July 1928. Inscribed Annie E. Lorigan, 1935. Cover cloth is frayed at the hinges and corners, threads are loose, and there are pencil notes inside. Complete as shown.
Please see photos for more details on the condition of the books.
All questions are welcomed. Thank you.
