Early precision wet-film thickness measuring instrument manufactured by Gardner Laboratory in Bethesda, Maryland. This style of gauge was used in the paint, coatings, printing and related industries to measure wet coating/ink film thickness.
Includes the original fitted black Gardner Laboratory case.
Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition with age-related cosmetic wear. Gauge shows scratches, marks and signs of previous use. Case shows substantial age-related wear, staining, discoloration and oxidation/tarnish to the hardware. Interior lining shows staining and deterioration consistent with age.
The gauge has not been professionally calibrated or tested for measurement accuracy. It is therefore being sold as a vintage precision instrument with calibration/accuracy unknown.
