This is a wonderful, more complete example of the vintage Halco "Frontier Rifle Scabbard," made by the J. Halpern Company of Pittsburgh, PA — the maker famous for its classic Halco cap guns. Unlike a bare scabbard alone, this set includes the full adjustable shoulder sling strap with its original buckle and clips, ready to attach to the scabbard's D-rings exactly as shown in the box's step-by-step instructions. The rich oxblood/burgundy leather is decorated with two star conchos and a large embossed silver-tone medallion depicting a frontier wagon scene. A great find for collectors of vintage western toys and cowboy play sets.
