Gorgeous large Italian white glazed ceramic fruit topiary centerpiece, featuring an elaborate sculptural arrangement of dimensional fruit, grapes and applied leaves on an ornate pedestal base.Finished in a warm creamy-white monochromatic glaze, the piece has a beautiful Blanc de Chine / Italian creamware-style appearance. The abundance of individually molded fruit and foliage gives it wonderful dimension and makes it an impressive statement piece from every angle.The interior of the hollow base is stamped “BASE / MADE IN ITALY.”At 16 inches tall, this is a substantial decorative piece with excellent presence—beautiful displayed on a dining table, sideboard, console, kitchen island or entry table in a traditional, European, French Provincial, Chinoiserie-inspired or collected interior.Measurements:

Pre-owned condition with age-appropriate surface wear and imperfections. One applied leaf has a broken/chipped area, which is clearly shown in the close-up photograph. There is also a fine hairline surface scratch at the base, likewise photographed.The underside/base shows expected contact wear and areas of glaze loss. There is also yellowish residue along portions of the bottom edge, which appears consistent with old adhesive, possibly from a previously attached felt or protective base covering. This is only an observation and the original purpose of the residue is unknown.Aside from the specifically disclosed broken leaf area and surface/base wear above, no other chips or cracks are noted.
