Vintage KWO German Erzgebirgische Volkskunst Nutcracker Soldier Major Wood 11\" For Sale

This vintage KWO Erzgebirge nutcracker features a British Drum Major soldier, handcrafted in the Ore Mountains region of Germany — a heritage renowned worldwide for traditional wooden nutcracker artistry. Standing approximately 11” tall, he wears a tall green ceremonial cap trimmed in gold with a striking red feather plume, a black military-style jacket with gold button detailing and red cuffs, white faux-fur beard and side hair, and classic black-and-white striped legs. He holds his baton in one hand and a small silver mallet accessory in the other, displayed on his original gray wooden base.

Authenticated with the “Erzgebirgische Volkskunst — KWO — Made in Germany” foil seal on the underside of the base (pictured). A wonderful addition to any Christmas nutcracker collection, military/soldier figure display, or vintage German folk art collection.
